Keep the person or product and erase the background. When the automatic pass does not pick the subject you meant, switch to click selection and paint it yourself.
How to use it
- Upload one or more images.
- Automatic mode starts immediately and handles the whole batch.
- If the wrong area was kept, open click selection, paint the subject, and clean the edges with the eraser.
- Check the result against the original and download it as a transparent PNG.
Does automatic cutout upload my image?
Yes — and only this tool does. The AI model is too large to run in a browser, so a downscaled copy (long edge 1024 px) is sent to our server. Your original is never sent, and nothing is kept after processing. Every other tool on this site runs entirely on your device.
Why is background removal the only thing done on a server?
Because the model that matches commercial quality needs roughly a gigabyte of weights and a GPU. We tried running it in the browser and it ran out of memory every time. Shipping a visibly worse cutout to avoid a server would have been the wrong trade.
Hair and fur edges look mushy.
Try a larger source image first — the model works on a downscaled copy, so fine strands survive better when the input has more detail to begin with. For stubborn edges, use click selection and clean up with the eraser.
Can I download the result as JPG?
You can, but JPG has no transparency, so the erased area fills with a solid colour. If you want the background to stay transparent, keep PNG or WebP.
How many images per day?
Five per day for free. That limit exists because each cutout costs GPU time on a real server. Everything else on this site is unlimited because it costs us nothing.
Can I keep just one person out of a group photo?
Automatic mode keeps whatever it judges to be the main subject, so it may keep several people. Use click selection to paint only the person you want.
